VETERANS HISTORY PROJECT

Open Arms***** Always is looking for volunteers to record or document veterans' histories before they are lost for all time. The Veterans History Project of the American Folklife Center collects, preserves, and makes accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war. This is a wonderful way to preserve history for the Library of Congress. The Field Kit and instructions can be found at the Veterans History Project (Library of Congress).

To have these stories recorded safely with the Library of Congress will ensure that these precious moments in time will be archived and available for all time.

And on a smaller scale, see our War Stories Page, and help us save the history that you can tell!
